North
Carolina State University is currently recruiting for Emergency Communications
Officer to join our Public Safety team. Our Emergency Communications Teams
is part of the NCSU Police Department and
is equipped with a 24 hour Emergency Communications Center with trained
and certified Emergency Communications Officers that answer both 9-1-1 phone
lines and non- emergency administrative phone lines. Emergency Communications
Officers are a vital link to public safety with the University Community
and surrounding area and are the first public contact when assistance needed.
Job
Duties: This position will monitor incoming telephone lines; dispatch
police, fire and rescue to university locations; operate and maintain Computer
Aided Dispatch (CAD); monitor and dispatch campus-wide fire and intrusion
alarms. Other responsibilities are to operate Division of Criminal
Information Terminal; issue and maintain records of departmental equipment;
maintain and update department files. A background check will be conducted
on the final applicant.
Minimum
Experience/Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalency and demonstrated possession of the competencies
necessary to perform the work. Requires certification as a Division of Criminal
Information Computer Operator or the ability to achieve certification within
45 days of employment. Some positions may require Basic Telecommunicator
Certification in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal
Justice Training and Standards Commission or the ability to achieve certification
within one year of employment. Must have excellent oral and written communication
skills. Experience working with a PC and be very comfortable working with
a keyboard and data entry. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to sit
for long periods of time.
The work
schedule is shift work and emergency communications officers are considered
essential and mandatory personnel.
Required
License or Certifications: Certification as a Division of Criminal
Information computer operator or the ability to achieve certification within
45 days of employment.

opportunity awaits you! The Cayman Islands Public Safety Communications
Center (CIPSCC) is recruiting experienced public safety dispatchers for
a two-year employment contract. We have an opening for an experienced, well-trained
Telecommunicator. CIPSCC dispatches for the Royal Cayman Islands Police
Service, EMS, Fire Services and Immigration Enforcement. In addition, CIPSCC
monitors marine and air traffic control frequencies for search and rescue

The Aiken

Responsibilities
: Receive requests for law enforcement,
