APCO International's Standards Development Committee (SDC) is responsible for oversight of the development process and updating of the APCO International standards and proposals that are to become ANSI accredited standards.
These responsibilities include facilitating the development, approval, maintenance, revision, and adoption of APCO International's American National Standards (ANS); serving as the voting consensus body for APCO International's ANS activities; and responding to public and industry comments about standards in development.

Sub-Committees
As recommendations for ANS standards come forth for consideration from APCO International's standing committees and workgroups, the SDC Sub-Committees will serve as Subject Matter Experts in their specific areas in the development and submission of those standards. These Sub-Committees will interface with the Standing Committees in the overall interpretation, development, revision and maintenance of the standards in their area of responsibility. Current Sub-Committees are:
